If you are ever in the Los Angeles area, I recommend a visit to Descanso Garden. These camellias grow as large as trees and in a variety of great colors. This was a particular favorite of mine... the red is so deep and true. And this bloom was draped by dangling leaves for a perfect frame in front of a light green bokeh backdrop.
