Kinsman Notch lies directly along the route of the Appalachian trail as it winds it's way from Mount Katahdin in Maine. This is the Beaver pond on Route 112 with peak fall foliage reflecting in the surface of the pond. It was a very quiet morning with no one else there but myself. The sun will clear the hills to the East in a few minutes but it gave such wonderful light in this longer exposure. This is why you have a tripod. This is Kinsman Notch and is the westrn most of the major notches in New Hampshires White Mountains.
