We took a short drive down Movie Road, in an area known as the Alabama Hills, on the way up to camp at the Whitney Portal. And just off the road we spotted this natural heart in the rock. It's a popular place to visit, and many movies have been filmed here in the Alabama Hills, at the base of Mt. Whitney, near Lone Pine, California. I did take a few close-up shots of this view, but I much preferred the grandeur of the whole scene -- complete with a perfectly clouded Big Sky!
