Description
I've always admired the way that Monet painted his haystacks series. Whenever I drive on a country road, my eye is drawn to the cylindrical shape of the hay bales waiting patiently to become feed for cattle or horses. They seem to have been set there as still-life objects for artists, reflecting the light differently according to their orientation to the sun. Here's another one of my hay bales series, showing a field in mid-afternoon.
